Abstract: the recycling technology principle, process and related problems of recycled plastic packaging as raw materials were studied

raw material recycling refers to the recycling of packaging materials with the import volume of plastics hovering at 12million tons per month in other months. Material utilization this kind of raw material recycling technology and process only changes the shape and structure of the recycled plastic packaging, without changing its physical and chemical properties. For the raw material recycling of plastic packaging, the final result after technical and technological treatment is a kind of plastic raw material (recycled plastic particles) that can be reused to manufacture the same or similar packaging products

1 technical principle

plastic packaging raw material recycling technical principle refers to the process of directly plasticizing waste plastics after preliminary treatment and crushing, and then molding or granulation. In some cases, a certain amount of new resin needs to be added to make recycled plastic products. It can adopt existing technology and equipment, which is both economical and efficient. In this process, appropriate additives (such as antioxidant, lubricant, stabilizer, plasticizer, colorant, etc.) should be added, which can improve the appearance and aging resistance and improve its processability, but it has no effect on the mechanical strength and properties of the material (it will not improve but reduce the reduction of strength as much as possible)

this technology can be divided into three methods according to the source and use of waste plastics

(1) there is no need to carry out pre-treatment such as sorting and cleaning. It is directly broken and plasticized. This method is mainly used for leftover materials and defective products in the production process of packaging products. They can be directly sent to the hopper and used at the same time with new materials without any pre-treatment. This method can also be used for the recycling of some plastic containers and products that have been used but are very clean and free of any pollution

(2) the recycling of pre-treatment such as sorting, cleaning, drying, crushing, etc. This is mainly required for plastic packaging materials and their products that contain more polluting ingredients and impurities. First, rough wash the recycled materials to remove impurities such as sand, stones and metals to prevent damage to the machine. After rough washing, centrifugal dehydration is carried out, and then sent to the crusher for crushing. After crushing, fine washing is carried out to remove the impurities inside the package. Dry after cleaning, and then directly plasticize or granulate. The objects of this method are generally plastic packaging waste collected from different channels after commodity circulation and consumption, and packaging containers, packaging bags, film sheets, etc. of various uses and shapes. It is characterized by many impurities, serious dirt and great difficulty in treatment. In order to get better results and the best economic benefits, this method requires the classification of raw materials

(3) carry out special pretreatment before recycling. For example, PS foamed plastic packaging products are bulky, inconvenient to transport and store, and not easy to input into the processing machinery in the utilization process. Therefore, early stage defoaming and volume reduction treatment should be carried out, and special defoaming or extrusion equipment (such as compactor) can be selected for specific treatment. For different recycled plastic packaging materials, plasticization, homogenization and granulation can be carried out after the above three different pretreatment according to the requirements (some can be directly formed into pipes and other products of different shapes).
